Politics is full of choices. And for now, it's a free country — at least until President Donald Trump trashes the First Amendment and shuts down parts of the Internet.

It's almost 2016, and Trump continues to dominate GOP polls, as he's done since entering this race. Pundits are starting to grapple with the idea that he could win this thing.

So if Trump does become the party's nominee, is there anything he can do to alienate a significant number of prominent Republicans? Or will they endorse him anyway?

In the past, it's been a fun parlor game to ponder what would make partisans abandon their party's nominee.
